🔹 Current Status:
- Verbena has strengthened into a severe tropical storm, with sustained winds of 70 km/h and gusts up to 140 km/h.
- Located 265 km northwest of Calayan, Cagayan, moving west-northwest at 15 km/h.
- Expected to intensify further into a typhoon by the weekend as it approaches Palawan.
🌧️ Affected Areas:
- Northern Luzon: Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Abra, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region
- Western Sections: Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and parts of Palawan
- Shear line effects also bringing rain over Metro Manila, parts of Central Luzon, and Eastern Visayas
⚠️ Warnings Issued:
- Wind Signal No. 1 may be hoisted over affected provinces.
- Heavy rainfall (50–100mm) expected—risk of flash floods and landslides.
- Rough to very rough seas (up to 7 meters) over northern Luzon seaboard and coastal areas. All sea vessels advised to remain in port.

- Metro Manila & Visayas: Generally fair, with isolated thunderstorms possible
