HISTORIC MILESTONE FOR LUZON MOTORISTS: One RFID Now Works Across ALL Major Expressways!

BREAKING NEWS — In a landmark achievement for Philippine transportation, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) and San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Infrastructure have officially completed the full unification of their toll collection systems across Luzon.

After years of coordination, testing, and phased rollouts, the long-awaited One RFID interoperability is now fully operational—meaning a single RFID sticker, whether Autosweep (SMC) or Easytrip (MPTC), will now work seamlessly across every major expressway in Luzon.

No more switching tags. No more double stops. Just one tap—and you’re through.

🚗 What This Means for Motorists

Starting now, drivers can choose just one RFID provider—either Autosweep or Easytrip—and use it on all participating expressways, regardless of who operates them.

Best of all? Registration is fully online.

  • Autosweep users: Register or reload via the Autosweep RFID portal
  • Easytrip users: Manage your account through the Easytrip Services website or app

Once installed and activated, your RFID will be recognized at toll plazas from La Union down to Batangas—and everywhere in between.

🛣️ Full List of Covered Expressways

The unified One RFID system now includes all major Luzon expressways under MPTC and SMC Infrastructure:

North Luzon Expressway (NLEX)
Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX)
Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX)
NLEX Connector
Skyway System (Stages 1, 2, 3 & Bataan–Cavite Interlink)
South Luzon Expressway (SLEX)
STAR Tollway
Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX)
Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX)
CAVITEX C5 Link
Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX)
NAIA Expressway (NAIAX)

This integration covers over 95% of all toll road traffic in Luzon, making travel faster, smoother, and more convenient than ever before.

🇵🇭 A Win for National Progress

The One RFID initiative is a key component of the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) nationwide interoperability program, aimed at reducing congestion, cutting travel time, and modernizing the country’s transport infrastructure.

With MPTC and SMC—two of the Philippines’ largest infrastructure giants—now fully aligned, the dream of a truly seamless, cashless, and efficient expressway network has finally become a reality.

“This is more than convenience—it’s about building a smarter, more connected Philippines,” said a joint statement from both companies.

🔧 What Should You Do Now?

  1. If you already have an RFID: Ensure it’s properly installed and your account is active. Both Autosweep and Easytrip tags are now interoperable—no need to get a second one!
  2. If you don’t have an RFID yet: Choose either provider and register online. Installation is free, and many service centers offer same-day tagging.
  3. Keep your balance topped up to avoid delays at toll gates.

💡 Pro Tip: You can still use your existing RFID even if it was issued by the “opposite” network—thanks to backend integration, the system now recognizes both.

🚀 The Future of Philippine Travel Is Here

This milestone marks a turning point in the country’s infrastructure journey—proving that collaboration between private giants can deliver real, tangible benefits to everyday Filipinos.

So whether you’re commuting to work, heading home for the weekend, or embarking on a provincial road trip—your journey just got a whole lot smoother.
